yup, that's where i grew up......

and that was our "swimming pool" ---- a pond.
a pond out behind the barn, with fish & frogs, & algae, slimy algae, & who knows what all else. oh, and GREEN water! green water that we would play in for hours & play underwater games where we would open our eyes under water & talk under water!!!! and all those AMOEBAS/AMEBAS would get in our eyes & noses & mouths!!!! and every other "crack" & oriface in our bodies!!!!! we'd have to take a shower after swimming & wash all the "gunk" off (& out!!!)!!!!

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww gross!!!!!

and now the neighborhood pool is too dirty for me!!!!!!!!

but we didn't die & we apparently grew up just fine.

but still ---- you wouldn't catch me dead in water like that now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good thing i still have "pool privileges" at the bahamas!!!!!!!!!!

Haha, yeah, that's funny how things have "changed" and things that are cleaner now than they were when we were kids, are "too dirty" for us today. We would ride in the back of the truck with no seat belts too, and it was "normal". Not anymore!

ha ha laurie!!! i remember the 1st time you strapped your kids' car seats into my SUV --- i thought they'd become permanent fixtures that we'd NEVER get out!!!!!
