railroad stake picture frame

here's what i made with the railroad stakes .....a picture frame!!!

the wood is a left over scrap from the pallet, the picture is one of suzanne's senior pictures taken on a railroad track in brenham.

nb. how did you pound that one into the wood? slegehammer?? i now fell my 'project' was so lame. you are always so clever. i am gonna go hunt up some pallets to tear up and make new stuff.... i have a circular saw already! lol

nb: if you find some pallets, let me know cuz i have a ton of ideas!!! i used my "girly hammer" to pound the larger stake into the pallet wood. there was already a crack in the wood & i just wedged it in there until it stood. it didn't make the crack any bigger or split the wood any. the smaller stake is just sitting on the wood in front of the big one. the weight of it keeps the whole piece from toppling over!! your project was NOT lame!!!! you did a fantastic job on it! no project is lame - each project is just different!!! i liked your project! (& i'm not "just saying" that!
